Exhibition Road, London

Exhibition Road in South Kensington is home to some of Britain’s best museums and right next to it is Hyde Park – the perfect place for a picnic! Students are able to choose between visiting:

  • the Science Museum,
  • the Natural History Museum and
  • the Victoria and Albert Museum (the world’s largest museum of applied and decorative arts and design, as well as sculpture).

Tour of Oxford

Called ‘the city of dreaming spires’ by poet Matthew Arnold, Oxford is steeped in history and character. The River Thames offers one of the best ways to see the city. After our boat cruise, we continue exploring Oxford’s many attractions and shops on foot.

Alton Towers Theme Park

Alton Towers is one of the UK’s top theme parks. “The Smiler” rollercoaster holds the world record for the largest number of loops, 14! But Alton Towers is not just for adrenaline seekers. There are 50 further rides and attractions to suit all ages and tastes.

Ironbridge Gorge Museums

Blists Hill Victorian Town – a recreation of the age of steam and a chance to see what life was like more than 100 years ago. Meet some (almost) real Victorians in their authentic shops and cottages, buy curious goods from a bygone era and watch tradespeople in action in their atmospheric workshops and factories.

Warwick Castle

Experience one thousand years of jaw-dropping history at Warwick Castle; great battles, ancient myths, spellbinding tales, pampered princesses, heroic knights and the dark Castle Dungeon.

West Midlands Safari Park

Come face to face with some of the world’s most unique animals, such as rhinos, ostriches, cheetahs, lions and elephants! There is plenty to see and explore outside the Safari as well, like an adventure theme park and the UK’s largest animatronic Dinosaur attraction!

Legoland and Windsor Town

With numerous Lego-themed rides, models and building workshops, Legoland Windsor Resort is a theme park that needs no introduction!

Students can choose to spend some of the day at Windsor Town. As well as being the site of a famous British castle, Windsor offers excellent shopping opportunities and the ancient twin town of Eton is home to perhaps Britain’s best-known public school.

All costs associated with excursions (transport, admission tickets and lunch) are included in course fees.

Excursions are not only about visiting exciting new places and learning about the history and culture of Britain. They are also an essential part of learning English naturally. Every excursion is an excellent opportunity to practice classroom English in real situations and gain confidence in conversational English.
